Any company with a complex project like this one needs to choose the right vendors to supply the required hardware and software components. To assist in the selection process, we chose Quantum Automation as our partner because they employ a sophisticated sales support staff that we knew would point us in the right direction. Quantum’s sales engineer Mike Kavanagh was particularly helpful throughout the project, starting with the design phase and assisting through startup and commissioning. Read More --->
#SuccessStories Posted by Quantum Automation on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Advantech's UNO-2362G has daisy-chain network capabilities, the new modular iDoor technology, and a new AMD dual core processor. The network daisy-chain technology allows users to connect to and configure multiple ADAM modules to create star networks without the need to use a network switch. Advantech’s new iDoor technology is a new modular way of adding functions to the UNO-2362G. Modules for iDoor systems include: fieldbus protocol; memory expansion and storage; digital and analog I/O; WAN, MAN and LAN communications with Wi-FI, GPS, GPRS and LTE; ancillary modules such as temperature, brightness, smart meters and others.
Anyone who uses RS-485 will agree that manually adjusting pull-high/low and terminator resistors through trial and error are major pain points. Wouldn't it be great if you could configure and troubleshoot your RS-485 devices in just one step? Well now you can. AEGIS Series Powerline filters are designed to protect single-phase electrical and electronic equipment from surges and line noise that can cause misoperation and damage, leading to higher maintenance costs. The Powerline filters react instantly to changes in voltage regardless of phase angle or polarity and are effective against both low- and high-energy transients. These redesigned filters meet the latest UL safety standards for SPD (surge protective device) and EMI filtering protection. Available in premium filter and premium hybrid models, the compact AEGIS powerline filters are 35mm DIN rail-mountable and have LED status indicators. The hybrid models also have alarm contacts. Single phase 120 and 240 VAC versions are available in 1A, 3A, 5A, 10A and 15A current ranges. AEGIS powerline filters have a 10-year warranty and pricing starts at $190.00. New UK6 series 18mm ultrasonic sensors are now available with shorter bodies for easier mounting in tight spaces. Also, the new UT2F wide face series of 30mm sensors has an increased sensing distance of up to 6 meters. Ten output types in combinations of PNP and NPN discrete outputs and 0-10VDC or 4-20mA analog outputs are available. These IP67 rated sensors are equipped with LED status indicators and have ether an attached two-meter output cable or a M12 quick-disconnect connector. 18mm UK series sensors start at $89.00 and are available in sensing ranges from 40mm to 2200mm. The 30mm UT series sensors start at $185.00 and have a 250-6000 mm sensing range. Both series are backed by a lifetime warranty and are cULus, CE and RoHS approved.
